development blog: Aperture

I’m in the process of creating Aperture Science Laboratories in Sims 4. The project is advanced, but I don’t have a projection date for the final yet.
I have finished the main building (at least I think so) and certain notable locations from the games, but I am currently troubleshooting design elements to make the lot playable as well as true to the design and aesthetic of Portal, which is proving to be a bit challenging. With the limitations of Sims 4 and the building tools provided, as well as the fact that this needs to be entirely base game (ie: no cc or mods), it’s a bit… interesting.

So far, I do have a few screens of what I’ve got done. These are all subject to change since I’m going to redesign the Central AI chamber and access.
